Bush backs human rights; protesters call him 'fascist'

I'm glad to hear Bush is in favor of human rights. So I guess all that torture stuff is just a big misunderstanding, then. Or more likely, he's in favor of telling other people how to handle human rights, which of course we now have no business doing thanks to him. Asshole.

I didn't say anything about putting women's underwear on prisoners. There are plenty of reports and documentation about things that even you would consider torture, if you think humiliation is all there is, then you just haven't been paying attention.

Hacking someone's head off is torture, and that's pretty outrageous, but we all know the people that do that are the bad guys. We're supposed to be the good guys, and we should act like it. Perhaps it's ok to be outraged by unacceptable behavior no matter who engages in it. It's not black and white, it's not a contest where as long as we're not as bad as them, it's all ok.

From what I understand about their religious beliefs, these men would definitely consider it torture to have women's undergarments on. I'm a woman and I consider a bra infinite torture. So I'm on their side on this one.

The fact that the protesters were marching with pictures of Che says what to you. Lets not pretend that actual Communists did not organize and attend the riots. You also neglect to discuss the vandalism that was reported in the NYT.

beakerkin, I didn't say a single word about the protestors. I don't know what kind of people they are, and you might be right about them for all I know. My commment was about Bush's statement about human rights.
