Disgusting. And look at the picture of the kid; he's lucky if he's got an IQ over 4. From the way the story is written, it sounds like the poor dog's owners just sat there and watched it happen. They ought to be charged, too. Sick, irresponsible bastards.
I have threatened to tie the neighbor kids down and throw baseballs at them when they try to hit my dog with something, I couldn't imagine what I would do walking up on this guy.
The kid looks like he comes from banjo country...deliver us from such evil. he deserves to die in an automatic wank machine. I would think that something more could have been done for the dog. The owners probably wouldn't pay for it and I think they are the bastards too. If I had found him like that with my dog he'd have gone to the police car without his skin. Just how sick is this little puppy?
note all that were raped were female (the 13 yr old, the 3 yr old and the dog) and it happened in a conservative republican state. I think Santorum, et al might want to think that liberalism and homosexuality leads to pedophilia and beastiality slant.
I think the neighbors came home to find him raping the dog and were shocked, I doubt the just watched it and did nothing (if I recall correctly, they called the police)
Violently resisting urge to launch into "why poetry is important" diatribe. Though an argument could be made that poetry bleeds into the novel, with the whole issue of prose poetry, and just what is poetry anyway, I think maybe this is a poem, ARGH! That slipped.
Are there any stories of this sort from blue states? From cities?
It's especially interesting that James Dickey came up in this context, because the first inkling I ever had that a human might want to have sexual relations with an animal was in the red-state horror movie based on his novel, Deliverance.

ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind, I refer you to a lovely poem by James Dickey that I posted awhile back. Some good advice when one is trying to avoid beastiality...
ReplyDeleteI hate poetry.
ReplyDeleteDo you hate ice cream and babies too?

I like babies (except ugly ones) and ice cream. But they clearly belong in a different category than poetry.
ReplyDeleteGood point, cranky, I thought people were being a little hard on the owners. I'm sure they did everything they could.

ReplyDeleteI didn't say it wasn't important (although I might be tempted to), just that I hate it.
