The addictive cracker-butter-sugar-chocolate combination you likely had is called Pine Bark, and I believe the recipe is still available on the Food Network website (www.foodtv.com)... it's Paula Deen's recipe, if that helps. A friend of mine made it one year, so I do completely understand the withdrawal effects of said concoction.
You could do an anticoagulation prophylaxis by taking 81 mg of aspirin a day (the usual dose of "baby aspirin").
If you're going to make Pine Bark, I'd up that to 325 mg of aspirin per day. Provided that you're not on anything else that would react badly to aspirin or on blood thinners of any sort, like Coumadin.
