Is Carnivale coming back?

So apparently HBO wants to do a movie to wrap it up, but the producers don't think that would be fair to the story or something. I'm all for seeing as much of Carnivale as possible, whether it's the show or a movie, but here's some advice to HBO. Anyone who will watch this movie would watch the show, so just bring the show back, dumbasses. If you don't think anyone wants to watch it, then why would you want to do a movie? Sometimes I think TV executives just aren't very bright.

Wouldn't it be nice for them to make up their minds in a reasonable way? Like...keeping the story going since it was SO popular. I almost feel like boycotting their damn movie now. And they'd certainly better have more to come for Rome...or someone other than Caesar will get stabbed! And...Happy Thanksgiving JRH and family. No Turkey Day greeting here...no sir! I know you don't heart it at all...

I am all for bringing Carnivale back, but I'm not sure your argument really holds water, because a lot more people would be willing to watch a one-time movie than to watch an entire season (or more) of a show. Still, I hope they bring back the series anyway. I'd sure as hell watch it.

christiana, I think more people would be likely to watch a movie as opposed to a series if it were something new, but who is going to watch a Carnivale movie to wrap up loose ends that wouldn't also watch the show if it continued?
