CBS News - Forged Documents

The most ridiculous part of this story as far as I'm concerned is watching people on the FOX "News" channel talking about how CBS screwed up by letting political bias get in the way of accurate reporting. How do they say that with a straight face? CBS does it once and apparently it's the worst thing that ever happened in the history of broadcasting, FOX does it every day and no one cares.

And am I the only one that thinks this whole story was set up by Karl Rove or someone from the Bush administration? I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but I remember when I first saw the story about the documents and something about the White House releasing them without comment, which I thought was odd. I wouldn't put it past them to put out obvious fakes so someone could get caught making up a story about W. Seriously, everyone now seems to assume that because the documents were fake that it somehow proves that the entire story was false, when actually it has no bearing on the story at all. All the things alleged could still have happened. It really took the spotlight off of any questions about Bush's "military service." They also got what seemed to be the only mainstream media organization that had anything critical to say about Bush to not only look terrible, but to join the ranks of media outlets blowing him on a regular basis.

Aside from the people who say, "I love Jack Bauer" and "The Jets will win the Super Bowl," I've never agreed with anyone more than I do with you on this post. This thing has Rove's name all over it...can we get some evil genius on our side for once?!

And as for Fox News calling the kettle black: I don't know you from Adam, but please rent "Outfoxed" some time this weekend, I know you're gonna love it.

I whole-heartedly concur. When it happened, I was ranting and raving for a week about how I knew Rove's dirty little sausage fingers were all over it.

As for CBS licking Bush's balls, fuck 'em the blasted idiots. Isn't anyone in this entire country proud of reasonable and fair dissention anymore? This is supposed to be the country of individualism. Instead, the media and the elected Dems cower and conform and capitulate, as if being fatuously branded a traitor was somehow worse than actually being a coward.

The Jets? Ok, so I know you were right about the game last week, but just barely. Anyway, I promise to look for Outfoxed, I am sure I will like it too.

I'm tired of CBS, FOX, CNN, MSNBC, the whole lot of them, the things Bush is doing to this country are insane and if they would just wake up and get that message to the heartland, we may be able to fix it before it gets any worse. I'm not asking them to be biased the other way, just honestly report the facts, and do some freaking investigation every now and then. I'll bet there's a lot of crap that is just waiting to be found with this bunch.
