Iraqi Civil War

I hear a lot of talk these days about how Iraq is on the verge of civil war if the US leaves, or when the US leaves, or whatever. But it makes me wonder, with a bunch of people over there trying to move forward and have elections, and another bunch trying to assassinate everyone involved in the elections and threatening to kill people who particiapte, aren't they kind of already in the middle of a civil war? Or is there some nuance I'm missing that means it doesn't qualify?

It's as close as you can get to a civil war, my friend, but if those words, civil war, cross someone in the Bush administration's lips, they will actually have to admit what a fiasco it really is over there.

Frankly, at this point, I'd just as well that they have a civil war. With any luck, they'll kill each other to such a level that we won't need to be there anymore. I know that's mean, but I'm tired of American boys getting killed for NO EFFING REASON other than a grudge match being played out by Dubya.....There's my two cents worth...

But, Mr. Poobah, we don't have the troops to retain a permanent presence in Iraq. We'll either have to begin a drawdown within the next year, or restart the draft.
