Bush Speaks

I was just listening to the excerpts from his speech today on NPR and it just struck me what a terrible speaker he is. It's very clear that he has no hand in writing these speeches. He speaks in batches of words that obviously coincide with whatever's on the teleprompter or cue cards. His inflection is off, and since he doesn't know what's coming, sometimes you hear him correct his pitch and pronunciation because the sentence didn't go the way he thought it would. I knew he wasn't very good at public speaking, but I guess I hadn't really thought about how bad he is.

It really makes me sad for the missed opportunity we had in 2000.

Yes, Kerry speaks so well when he says, "What I meant to say was I voted against the war before I voted for it." Or was it the other way. Yes I agree , you intelectuall hypocrites must have a hard time with any uneducated dummies that you pretend to represent. But I'll bet Bush is allot smarter than most, and you just hate it..John

Interesting that the negative comments come from an anonymous commentor.

Also, the post didn't mention Kerry, so why you bring him up is puzzling. Kerry's speaking ability has no bearing on Bush's. Also, I didn't make that post which you would know if you actually read it. Although, I do agree with it completely.

You should look up liberal in the dictionary, since you don't have much of a concept what words mean on your own. And it's not hateful to say Bush is a bad speaker, it's fact. You may think he's a great President, and if you do, I would question your judgement, but if you think he's a good speaker, then you're just stupid or not paying attention.

Exactly, I was going to say I never mentioned Kerry. And if someone wants to compare Bush's intellect or speaking abilities with Gore's, Bush loses hands down.

Yeah, or Kerry's for that matter. Kerry didn't speak particularly well, but he sure as hell does better than Bush.

Sure, you can harp on his vote that he didn't clarify very well, but I have a whole calendar full of stupid things Bush has said.

Chris, Maybe you think Dean, or Gore are good speakers, and who's calling who stupid. Gore is the biggest idiot next to Dean that i've ever seen. I pay attention allot. Readind Gores "Earth in the Balance,"is enough to realise that he is on a different planet. Yeah, some people don't speak as well as others .So what does that have to do with anything. I don't have to look up liberal because you losers define it all day long.

Also speaking while lying is a very good trait of Kerry, and allot of polititions, mostly dems. in my opinion....not all, like Liberman and few others. But to say that being a good speaker makes a good politician is about as ridiculous a statment that you could possibly make. They're fast talking bull is not a good qualifier. Action, and policy is the important factor it seams to me. But who am I,except a stupid conservative who's not paying attention. I rarely pay that much attention to libs. Don't worry, I can take it. This is really so trivial, I do feel a bit stupid replying to such a subject. As for hate, you libs are not happy. You don't know how to be happy. I have no reason not to be happy. We're right, and as the rest of the country is, we republicans are RIGHT of course.

If you feel stupid replying to such a subject, then don't do it. You seem to be doing it "allot". On the other hand, if you think your opinion matters, and obviously you do or you wouldn't post here, then you should have the guts to sign your posts...

I never said that a good public speaker is a good politician. What I did imply is that Bush's speechs seem to me to indicate a lack of intelligence, which, as we've seen, is a dangerous trait for someone in power.

As for Gore, of course people will disagree with his opinions, but to make the argument that he's not intelligent is just crazy.

If you would like to have a real debate, leave your name and actually make a point. Also, don't put words in people's mouths. Oh, and you may want to brush up on your spelling if you expect people to take you seriously.

If you can't manage those things, I'll just assume you are a troll.
