Illinois Pharmacists Balk at Contraception

Good. You fucking lunatics. This is exactly what should happen when people refuse to do the job they are paid to do. I haven't said much about this whole phamacist debate, even though it really irritates the fucking shit out of me, only because it is so incredibly fucking simple. If you have moral objections to dispensing legal medications to patients with a valid prescription, then pharmacy is not the line of work for you. That's it, there really doesn't need to be any debate about it. If you believe that strongly in something, then it should definitely factor into your career choice.

When will people get it, leave your religion at home, you have no right to force your religious values on other people.

Hmm....

I admit that I have to agree. The Bill of Rights does not protect you in the civilian sector only from the legislative power of government. Therefore if your employer wants to dispose of legal product you can not refuse on religious grounds (without consequences).

Though I have heard of examples of this before, it is still kind of creepy, like in Fight Club when Edward Norton goes around the country to all those businesses, and Project Mayhem has infiltrated them all.

I think the only thing I can stir up in this thread is the concpet that the reverse is also true. If the business decided not to sell the legal products because of religious beliefs then the government should not intervene. The best example I can think of is Chic fil a being closed on Sundays.

Certainly is I objected to selling cigarettes I should not go to work for RJR.
