Dear NHL, please go away

Come back when you have something newsworthy to tell us. Like maybe when you have a deal done. No one wants to hear about your stupid drop dead date. Everyone knows there is no chance of having a season this year. I'm not a hockey fan, but there are a lot of people who are, and I'm sure when you have made some progress and are ready to announce when the NHL will resume play they will all be very interested, but until then, just shut up. Even our drop dead date might be somewhat interesting if anyone thought you had any chance of getting a deal done before it, but since you don't, it just sounds like a story floated out there to say, "Hey, look at us, we're still here, don't forget about us." Well, most people have forgotten about you, so go away. Come back when you have a deal done and you're ready to announce your new TV contract with SpikeTV*.
