Why do they even have Senate Confirmation Hearings?
Seriously, what's the point? I don't know as much about this guy as some of the other nominees, but he appears to be another fan of torture and an enemy of due process, I wouldn't expect him to have as much opposition as Rice or Gonzales, but you'd think at least one Senator would be bothered by the Administration policies regarding detainees to vote against anyone who had anything to do with them. And with both Rice and Gonzales getting confirmed fairly easily, it shows that these hearings are nothing more than a rubber stamp. So just get rid of them, why waste the time and money?
