Ragtime
I'm just shuffling through the music on my pc and a song from Ragtime just played. For any musical theater fans (I know there's at least one of you out there), does anyone know why this show isn't touring somewhere? Great music, great story, epic sweep, universal themes. I'm glad I was fortunate enough to see a Broadway-caliber regional production.

Have you ever heard anything from Ragtime? If I didn't know better, I'd think you were some kind of musical bigot, judging music only by its genre. But I know that an open-minded progressive such as yourself wouldn't do that.
I've heard it, I saw the movie. I wasn't impressed. Of course I'm a musical bigot, I have comtempt for any music I don't like. My progressive side extends much more towards politics. And anyway, I'm all for anyone listening to whatever they like, even if it sucks. I don't even mind if people want to read that over-hyped Harry Potter shit, I just wish they could shut the fuck up about it when they do.
The movie isn't the same as the musical. But regardless, I doubt if it would appeal to you.
