Police Say Man Critically Injured In Swordfight; Suspect Sought

Ok, I'm really starting to think I'm missing something. It seems there are swordfights going on everywhere these days. When did the sword become the weapon of choice? Why do so many people have them? If this keeps up, I may have to get one, just for my own protection, because sword crimes would be far less common if everyone had a sword.

I guess it's just the idea of collecting them as novelties. i.e. One of my good friends has a fairly large collection which contains, just to name a few:
- Narsil from LotR
- Strider's Sword/Sheath Combo from LotR
- The Highlander Dragon Head Katana
- Multiple sets of Samurai weaponry -> 3-piece set (differing lengths, Long to Short) contains Katana, Wakizashi, and Tanto

Speaking of Highlander, Kurgan's sword in that movie? Coolest. Sword. Ever.

Maybe Highlander was less a movie and more a documentary..........

Oh, ok, so it's a bad joke. At least I am not so stupid as to get injured in a sword fight.
