Regardless of what you think about Terri Schiavo or her medical condition or the removal of her feeding tube, if you're really so concerned about people dying of hunger, then just look around. You probably won't have to look very far before you'll find someone that you could help that not only won't get you arrested but would actually know that you fed them. How about we pass some emergency legislation for those people? Oh, but that's right, that would actually require a real committment to do something. That's the beauty of the empty gesture, you can pretend to stand for something, without really having to do anything.
